Based on GastonLeroux’s1910 novel*Le Fantôme de l’Opéra*, *The Phantom of the Opera*tells the gripping story of Christine Daaé, a young soprano whose extraordinary voice captivates a mysterious masked figure known as The Phantom. This brilliant but tormented musical genius lives in the catacombs of the Paris Opera House and strikes fear into the hearts of everyone who lives and works there.
Drawn to Christine’s sensational talent, The Phantom becomes her mentor. He believes that only she can truly bring his music to life. As he guides her from the shadows, he falls in love with her. When Christine is reunited with her childhood sweetheart Raoul—now the young patron of the opera house—she becomes entangled in the unpredictable dynamics of a powerful love triangle.
