Darkridetakes the audience on an exciting journey full of wonder and imagination set to the iconic music of Efteling. Led by a mysterious magician, a colorful troupe of dancers and acrobats travels through worlds where nothing is what it seems. Escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and descend into an enchanting dimension: strange, yet familiar. A world where everything can change in the blink of an eye. Sometimes grotesque and dangerous, other times moving, poetic, and dreamlike. This thrilling journey leads from darkness to light, through ever-changing scenes and emotions.
Composer René Merkelbach, known for the music for the Raveleijn and Danse Macabre attractions, arranged the Efteling’s music especially for this performance. Vocal artist Luca Warmer adds extra color to the music with her unique voice and takes the audience by the hand on this fascinating journey. On stage are the best dancers and acrobats in the Netherlands, brought together especially for this performance by choreographer Ed Wubbe.
