Following the sold-out, critically acclaimed international tour in 2025, Stage Magic and City Lights Entertainment announce the return of the Compañía Antonio Gades to Belgium. In December 2026, the legendary production CARMEN will be performed during an international tour through France, Belgium, and the Netherlands.
For CARMEN, Antonio Gades and filmmaker Carlos Saura drew inspiration from the work of French author Prosper Mérimée and the opera by Georges Bizet. It was their very first collaboration.
To capture the true essence of Andalusian culture, the Spanish choreographer opted for a striking contrast between Bizet’s music and that of a live flamenco orchestra.
Twenty years after the death of the iconic choreographer and champion of Spanish culture, the Fundación Antonio Gades continues to carry on his legacy at the very highest level by continuing to present his productions worldwide.
