Visitors who are blind or have low vision

Visiting the Luxor with a visual impairment?

Komt Het Zien

In collaboration with Komt Het Zien, we offer audio description for a select number of performances, making them accessible to visitors with visual impairments.

For these performances, you’ll watch an introductory video online beforehand. On the day of the performance, a visual interpreter will describe the auditorium, the set, and the costumes before the show begins (often even giving you the chance to feel them!). You’ll also learn more about the actors and their roles. During the performance, you’ll receive additional information from the audio describer through headphones. That way, you won’t miss a thing.

Christel de Laat

Due to high demand for tickets to Christel de Laat’s performance, seats with a visual description service can only be booked by phone (010 484 33 33) or by email (kassa@luxortheater.nl).

Better-View Seats

For almost every performance, you have the option to reserve “better-view” seats. These are seats directly in front of the stage, specifically for visitors with low vision. Be sure to book these seats well in advance. Email or call our box office.
